Three Meetings Cancelled By City Hall In Olá Brazil Debacle

It’s been two weeks since the kiosk Olá Brazil was served notice to close and cease trading within that period. During this time, there has been abundant support for the entrepreneurial business that has grown from strength to strength over the past eight years.

A Facebook group has been created where over 1,000 people have joined, both residents of the village of Santa Maria and tourists alike share fond memories and photos of their time at the kiosk. The online petition also has received fantastic support with nearly 800 signatures.

Yesterday, the proprietors announced that although still open, that the City Hall has now cancelled three meetings where they had hopes to present their case and agree a compromised solution to both sides.
